User request:
Would it be possible to get the Box Beam option added to the wind beam section for CFS Members:
Our USA and Australia cold-formed steel calculators both offer boxes made up of two Cee sections, but only loaded about the major axis. Please let us know any additional types of built-up CFS sections you’d like to see us add!

Could you conservatively just check two or three tracks acting together in their strong direction? Box has two tracks plus one more for the base track of the shorter wall above the header.
Hey Brooks, I definitely would also like to see box beam sections added. I have actually just ran into this issue right now, I am trying to check the capacity of some existing boxspan members installed on a residential building under a complex loading configuration and none of the proprietary span tables cover it.
It would be good to have some realistic sections rather than trying to simulate with c sections.

Thanks guys.

Hi Tara!
just checking in on this. I sent a request awhile back before joining this forum. I have several typical section configurations using joists and track that I run in competitor software from that I would really love to use in ClearCalcs instead. There are so many different options for CFS, but here in Denver, CO almost everyone uses configurations of the 1000S200-54 [50ksi] type.
