Aloha! Architect Expanding into Structural Design – Looking for Workflow Guidance

Aloha folks!
I’m a licensed architect in Hawaii expanding my services to include complete structural design, and I’m using ClearCalcs to streamline my workflow. I have a solid grasp of gravity load design, but I’m struggling with the software when it comes to diaphragm loads, wind and seismic loading, and how to link everything procedurally in ClearCalcs.

I’d love to see a workflow diagram and to gain a full understanding of the best step-by-step approach for setting up wind and seismic forces, distributing diaphragm loads, and ensuring proper load transfer to shear walls and foundations.

What’s the most logical workflow to follow in ClearCalcs to keep everything organized and efficiently linked?

If anyone has a structured process for tackling this, I’d really appreciate the insight. Looking forward to learning from you all!

Mahalo,
Jim

Aloha Jim!

Thanks for your message! I just responded to your other thread—hope that helps clear things up about our load calculators.

I’d also recommend taking a look at our resource library, where you can find helpful guides, including our Getting Started Guide, to walk you through the key concepts.

Here are some quick links to check out:

Please let me know if you have any other questions—I’m happy to help!

Tara

Thank you, Tara. I’ll take a look at these and your other reply as well.
