Recently, a user asked for calculators for reinforced blockwork and double brick retaining walls.
What do you think? How would you like this calculation to be done? Give us examples of how you’d want this implemented in your project!
If this is for reinforced CMU block walls, then I would like to see this as a wall that can take in plane or out of plane lateral axial, shear and flexural + axial interaction loads per TMS 402/602, plus prescriptive horizontal and vertical reinforcing spacing and lastly deflection.
I would use this for crawl space type foundation stem walls or commercial building walls.

Agree with PG218 for foundation walls.
Not sure what double brick could be doing as a retaining wall though… Is this some special engineered product that can be reinforced?
