Here is a quick and simple image of the rebar arrangement of our Concrete Retaining Wall!
We’re revamping our calculator diagrams and want your input! Reply here with any suggestions for the new and improved version of the retaining wall diagram!
At the very least, you should have load diagrams on your output (color coded for different loading and resistance), along with positions and size of all rebar. This will help with verification that loads/rebar positions are being interpreted correctly by the program.
After that, There should be a 2-mat and single mat “centered” option for reinforcing, as well as an option for “off-center”…
Finally, there should probably be a note that says if the calculated resultant is outside the middle third of the footing. Depending on the circumstances, I may want to keep the resultant inside the middle third as a conservative measure to make sure my guesses at future loading will work pretty much regardless.
