New Zealand Building Code

Hello!

My name is Ben and I work as an architectural designer in Auckland New Zealand.

I am wanting to ask on this forum if anyone has used this calculation tool as supporting evidence for wind calculations for small structures in New Zealand?

My objective is to obtain a building consent in a Very High Wind Zone for a small structure built to NZS 3604, or NASH Standard Part 2:2019 Light Steel Framed Buildings; without having to go through a structural engineer for a wind calculation at this current stage in the project.

I am wanting to use this calculation as part of my application for a Resource Consent from the City Council, and I was wondering if anyone else in this forum has had the reports produced from this software accepted by council, either in New Zealand or their respective countries?

Kind regards,

Ben

Thanks for the message Ben! I’m not aware of anyone in particular who’s completed such a project but would love to hear thoughts from our community! Let us know if you have any updates when you try as well
