This can make the calculation reports extra long with “blank” pages or showing just a few factors on the second page from the calculations when there is room to spare on the first page. A simple formatting issue. I currently go through and delete the second page to save some paper but it would be nice to not have to do that for every project.
Thanks!
Hi Max,
Thank you for your feedback! I can imagine how frustrating that must be. This is a bug on our end, and I’ve already filed a ticket to address it.
Quick question for you, I noticed the screenshot you sent is from our Wood Beam ASD calculator. Are you experiencing the same issue with any other calculators?
I have noticed it on most of the modules I use - wood, steel, footings, etc.
Adding to the discussion…
This formatting problem is persisting and is frankly quite frustrating, but I did find a workaround for the interim:
- Create the original pdf by printing to A4 paper instead of letter size. The A4 version seems to always fit on a single page when/as intended.
- Open the pdf with Revu (other programs may or may not also work).
- Print to a letter-sized pdf from within Revu to Microsoft Print to pdf or similar method.
- Success.
I generally just go through and delete the “blank” pages from the exported file using Bluebeam. Occasionally there is some useful information on those pages so that is not a perfect fix.
Agreed, I just typically get one line of actual calculations on the 2nd page so deleting hasn’t worked out for me.
